Which Skin Cancers are Itchy?

Skin cancers like basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are more prone to itchy symptomsA recent study in the US documented that up to 30% of patients who were found to have basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma reported a local itching or painful sensation prior to diagnosis. 

Why Do Some Skin Cancers Itch?

Itching symptoms may occur as a result of complications of the disease, and itchy, flaky skin and rashes are common side effects of some cancer and even skin treatments.

No Skin Cancer Symptoms

Many skin cancers so not display any itchy symptoms and can only be detected by expert examination.  It is really surprising how often innocent skin changes turn out to be Skin Cancer or precancerous lesions .
